This standard covers the straight rubber hoses with an intermediate reinforcement layer, to be used as the main fuel passage of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles (hereinafter referred to as “hose”). This standard should apply molded hoses (bent or in special shapes) in terms of the basic specifications. (rubber materials, hose performance, and hose inside and outside diameters etc.)
This standard does not apply to the hoses to be used with alcohol and alcoholic fuel.
